Will the Other Parent's Criminal Record Affect a Custody Case

My question involves a child custody case from the State of: IDAHO

I live with my father who is a felon has dui’s and 2 convictions of domestic violence on his wife from 10 years ago will this affect my custody case?

Perhaps some water scrying or casting the bones will tell. Alas, I'm all out of cockerels so that's the best I've got.

Based on the wording, I'm wondering if OP is not a parent who is going through a custody case for their child who is concerned the living arrangements will have an adverse effect.
