Are Japanese Adult Videos Legal in the U.S.

I'm freaking out. Please help. Are Japanese adult videos on pornhub legal?

Whether it is legal to watch one of those videos depends very much on (1) exactly what the video shows, (2) in what state or country you are located (and you did not provide that info despite the prompt for it when you composed your post, and perhaps (3) what sort of things would be considered obscene in your community. As a starting point, if you are in the U.S. and if the video shows real minors (i.e. actual persons under age 18) involved in any sort of sexual activity that is clearly illegal and streaming child porn can result in a long time in federal and/or state prison. Beyond that, the details I mentioned matter.

Well I mean Japanese adult videos in general. I'm in Indiana United States. Plus how are people supposed to know how old everyone is on pornhub?

The answer is the same: it depends on the details of the video. If the video shows actual kids under age 18 or if the video content would be considered obscene in your community then you run a risk of prosecution by downloading/streaming it. One of the risks of visiting porn sites is that there may be illegal content on them and you may have a hard time sorting that out. That’s especially true for sites that operate like porn versions of You Tube and accept uploads from pretty much anyone from anywhere.

A lot of the videos on there may be perfectly legal to view. The problem is that there may be some that aren’t, and you take a risk going to porn sites that the videos you choose to watch may be among those that are illegal and if they are, there is a chance you may get prosecuted for it. Not everyone who downloads an illegal video gets prosecuted, just like most people who speed are never caught and given a ticket for their speeding. But some do get that ticket. A speeding ticket only costs you a little bit of money in a fine, so lots of people take the risk and speed a little bit. Most people who cheat on their taxes are not caught either, but those who do get caught pay at the very least large penalties and may end up criminally prosecuted and get a bit of prison time. But getting busted for downloading child porn can put you in prison for years, so the risk factor is a lot higher than speeding or cheating on your taxes if you get caught. Prison is especially rough for people convicted of any kind of child sex crime.

No one here can give you any assurance that the videos you choose to watch won’t cause you legal problems. There is no sure fire way to know if the people in some porn videos are really at least age 18. So if what you are looking for is someone to tell you that watching those videos won’t get you into trouble, you won’t get that here. All I can do is tell you what the law says and what risks a person takes going to porn sites and that’s what I’ve tried to do in this thread. What you do with that information is up to you. You have to decide what videos to watch and what risks you are willing to take.

How do you know they aren't ? Do you know everyone in every state and country that has viewed these videos ?

Something that involves million of viewers being arrested would be on the news. You must just want me to kill myself from what i understand
