Can the Other Parent Change Your Child's Daycare Without Consent
My question involves a child custody case from the State of: Georgia
My ex is trying to change my sons daycare without my consent. I have 2 issues with this: 1. This would be the 5th daycare in less than 2 years and I dont think its good for all the change 2. I just moved to be closer to work and his daycare and I suspect she is doing this strictly to impact my quality of life and quality of time with my son. It would be a 3 hour round trip to pick up and drop off my son which would make it impossible to be at work in the morning or leave in the evening. I have my son every other monday and wednesday night as well as every other fri-mon. We have joint legal custody, is there anything I can do.
Re: Ex Changing Daycares Without Concent
What does the court order say about changing daycare?
Re: Ex Changing Daycares Without Concent
court order does not specify daycare, she has final say on "education" but is supposed to consult with me.

Daycare is within the realm of child care, not education. Absent something to the contrary in the court order, parents are normally able to choose their own child care providers for their own parenting time.
It's difficult for me to picture your ex- inconveniencing herself with a 3-hour round trip to and from daycare, so that suggests to me that the change of daycare may be associated with her moving to a different town. What's the context?
Re: Ex Changing Daycares Without Concent
She lives down there in a house her father owns but her fathers office where she "works" is next to his current daycare. It would not be an inconvenience for her. She has also been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder which makes her prone to sudden rash decisions.

So you are saying that she commutes three hours to work? That is implausible. You really need to explain things better.
Re: Ex Changing Daycares Without Concent
Her commute is more like an hour each way because she usually goes to the office around 11 when there is no traffic and leaves work around 2 or 3, again when there is no traffic. I have recently found out the real reason she wants to move him, her father is no longer requiring her to come to the office. She will just be checking emails from home but still wants him in daycare full time.
