Sexting a Minor and Exchanging Suggestive Photos
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Ohio and Indiana
So a friend of mine in Ohio (27) started talking to a girl in Indiana (16) via texting. Not that I really condone this but hey it's none of my business. But they have been talking for a little while now and in both states (as far as I know) she is at the age of consent to have sex, but when it comes to sexting I know it's a different story. He said neither of them have sent nudes but they have sent bikini and boxer pictures before. They also talk about their sexual fantasies with one another, and what they would do to each other. Is he running any risks here if he keeps the pictures clean? Or should I try to convince him to stop.

You state that you know this is a bad idea, and you obviously have no control over this person's actions (unless it's you). There's little you can do but tell this person that if he hasn't broken the law already he's on a dangerous path. You can direct him to the story of Anthony Weiner.
