Fake Website About A Minor On Myspace
There is so much to say I am unsure where to begin. I need help. This all started months ago. My daughter who had to be admitted into the hospital for wanting to comment suicide. She's 12. She has a good home life , but I never really know what could have triggered her deep depression until now. Come to find out the girl that has been harassing her at school made a myspace using a picture she took of my daughter a long time ago. She and her freinds are posing as my daughter sending messages and posting talkign bad about other students at her school. And also making sexual promises. Now her myspace says she's 14 but my daughter is only 12. I know my daughter does not have any computers access. I am one of those parents who knows where she is 100% of the time. I guess more of the school knew abotu this myspace however it was a slip up from a student that led me to start looking for it, I had never really checked myspace out until that day. I did contact the school was ignored as they can't control what takes place online. The student doign this is a honor roll student so really I am not getting anywhere with the bulling the student is doing. I am having to have my daughters classes now moved , even though I feel they should move the student harassing... I also contacted my local sheriff. Who told me I couldn't make a police report because the student doing this is under 13. I feel the parents should be held responsable, however I can't get anything done. I even contacted myspace. Four times now and the site remains !! Myspace has yet to even contact me. I sent them a picture with my daughter holding a pice of paper with the date and our email to verifiy shes her , we have no control nor knowledge of this Myspace. My daughter is in a serious state of depression , even going as fair as to stick her finger down her throat so she doesn't have to stay at school. My husband and I don't know what to do at this point we can't even get site gone. HELP !
Re: I need help do not know what to do -Myspace
Consider seeking a personal protection order, if permitted under these facts and the laws of your state, or trying to get the school to intercede.
