Will a Store Figure Out How Many Times You Stole
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Arizona
I'm 16, and I've been shoplifting from target on and off for a few months now. I just recently got caught stealing about $100 worth of stuff, but I'm pretty sure that I've stolen at least $1,000 worth of items. I know this is a felony, and the manager had told me he saw me steal one other time. I used a bag to conceal everytime, however I would "disguise" myself everytime besides the last two times (I would wear glasses, a jacket with my hood on, no makeup, and sweats, but when I was caught I didn't have glasses on, and I was wearing a skirt). Will they be able to recognize me? I was wondering if they would be able to identify any of the other times? If I'm charged with a felony, will it go away once I turn 18?
Re: Shoplifting in Arizona
That is something you would ask your attorney if/when you're charged with a crime.
Stop stealing stuff.
Re: Shoplifting in Arizona
You're just going to have to sweat it out, kid.
Re: Shoplifting in Arizona
If you are charged with a felony as a juvenile, in your state you may apply for the record to be expunged after you turn 18. It does not happen automatically and a judge will look at your entire history, and your record since, before deciding whether to do so. At least that's how I read the statute.
