Can You Get Emancipated at 16 in Indiana
Hello i'm 16 and in Indiana i have a steady job i make 1500 a month and me and my friends plan on moving out, and we all know we won't be living bomb lives from the start, the reason i want to be emancipated is because me and my mom don't get along she often has hit me when shes mad at something i said, none of my siblings like her that much or agree with her parenting skills she away says she gonna make me live with my dad then she says she he doesn't want to deal with your shit, and i have a great relationship with my dad and i would love to live with him then her. but i just wanna get emancipated in Indiana soon.

You do understand, of course, that you cannot be emancipated from just one parent? That being emancipated and living with Dad are incompatible?
Re: Can I Get Emancipated at 16 in Indiana
you can and can't get emancipated. as long as you live in Indiana you don't need your parents consent whatsoever. you may not have enough reasons on why you should be emancipated but as long as you can support yourself you're good. as of right now your chances of being emancipated are at 25% and that's only because you make enough to rent an apartment.
you need valid reasons on why it's in your best interest to not live with your mom, you need at least $150-200 for the fee to request emancipation, and you need proof of income and proof that if you do get emancipated that you have a place to live immediately.
don't forget about food, clothing, transportation etc...
GOOD LUCK!

Pay not attention to this comment. She's a teenager pursuing her own emancipation with incomplete information.

KNOCK IT OFF. You have NO idea what you're talking about.
Re: Can I Get Emancipated at 16 in Indiana
The key words being, self-support. Living with Dad is neither self-support nor emancipation.
