Retail Return Abuse

I need some help/advice on a specific issue involving retail returns.
If someone were to purchase an item from a thrift store, lets say for example a clothing garment, that was brand new and still had all of the original price tags intact from the original retail department store. And if ithey were to then take that garment that they had purchased at the thrift store, back to the original department store and return it successfully for its original retial price, is that illegal? Im aware that it is immoral, but Just out of curiousity, is it considered some type of return fraud? and would it be grounds for some form of criminal prosecution?

You didn't buy it at the original department store. If you want to legally return it, take it back to the thrift store.

That does not answer the question asked . I worked in retail for 8 years and yes that is fraud . But, some stores leave the door wide open and readly accept returns with not reciept . But on the other hand most stores now will take your ID information and log it into a data base of no reciept return people of $10. So you can eventually get caught for return fraud !

I am not a LP or have ever claimed to be one. I speak from my experiences so far. When certain people have nothing positve or intelligent to say they turn to verbal insults get get their point across. Trying to degrade me by insulting my manhood, blaming me for lost employee hours , higher prices is bull or calling me a theif over and over again just goes to show how low you can go ! Anyway to keep on the subject matter most stores give you 3 returns no reciept. Target gives 2 times and if come back for a 3dr you will get security called on you. So going to the thrift store to get items to return at another store to make money is well how low can you go !!!!! :wallbang: :wallbang:
