How to Help a 17-Year-Old in Your Care Stay With You Instead of Returning Home
My question involves juvenile law in the State of: Florida
I've been caring for a 17 year old for the past 6 months with no help from his adoptive parents. They are saying now, that they are coming to take him away because he is going to become a dad in February. He turns 18 in December. Can they just come force him to go back home now? If so, what does he need to do to legally be able to stay here until his birthday?

Is it your daughter who is pregnant or is it someone else entirely?
Yes, they can force him to come back, but he can turn around and leave again when he turns 18.

Until he is 18 then his parents tell him where to live. He can't do anything legally to stay there. He may as well just go back with them until he's 18.

If Mom and Dad say he goes home, then he goes home.

If so, what does he need to do to legally be able to stay here until his birthday? Get his parents' permission.
