    Yeah, I would call the police chief and file a formal complaint against the officer. He was wrong. As a minor, she technically doesn't have personal property, unless she is emancipated.

    The fact that your daughter called the police for this raises huge flags to me. I agree with the other posters. As a parent, you are ONLY required to provide her with necessities, food, and shelter.
