Can I Move in with a Friend at 17
My question involves juvenile law in the State of: Georgia.

I am about to be 17 years old and my parents have been divorced for a few years. I live with my mother and her boyfriend and my 19 year old brother and my dad live in a town over from us. The problem is , I hate living with my mother. Not because of her , but because her boyfriend likes to accuse me of things and talk down to and/or about me just to make me seem like a horrible kid because he just assumes the worst. He has 4 children of his own which he has no rights to see because he is pretty much just a piece of shit. Anyways , I would wish to live with my father , but his "home" is pretty much a hotel room and when I was in foster care (because my mom's boyfriend cause me to end up there) my dad was checked out and deemed as an unfit parent. My other option , is a friend. I have a friend I could live with has his own home behind his grandparents on a piece of land and if legally acceptable , that would be a second option.
So , I am about 17 years old and don't want to live with my mother , and don't believe I am legally allowed to live with my father. Am I legally allowed to just pack my things and take off , without parents permission , with a friend one day and live with him ?

When you turn 18, you can choose where you live.

If your mother says you can move in with a friend while you are still only 17, you can.

If your mother says you cannot move in with a friend while you are still only 17, you cannot.

    It really is that simple.

No you aren't. You live where your parents tell you to live until you're 18. If you do leave without permission and go live with your friend, they can get in trouble for letting you live with them.
