Officer Wrote the Wrong Date by a Month on a Trespass Ticket
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Illinois. I live in the city of Chicago, me and some friends were heading towards another friends house to meet up. We walked near some train tracks for a few minutes because it was a shortcut (one train passed and we were not really close to the tracks), we got stopped by the police after we left that area and came down from the tracks. They gave all of us trespassing tickets but he wrote it for june 28th instead of july 28th. Does this help me out in any way?

It can be a problem for the prosecution if the date stated is before the date of the offense. They can, however, correct the date in a bill of particulars. You need an attorney to guide you through this.
