How to Prove Somebody is Stalking You While Using Foreign Servers
My question involves criminal law for the state of: MI
I presently live in Oregon, the alleged stalker is an ex who lives in MI. Since reporting a sexual assault to the MI police almost a full year ago (my ex was the attacker), someone (I can only assume its my ex) has been using some form of 'dark web' client to use servers around the world to attempt access to my email account. I only know this because almost weekly, sometimes more frequently, I receives emails from the email client that 'your email has been attempted to be accessed by someone from xyz country (always a different country)'. I have no idea if these attempts have been successful or not, but I'm getting tired of the stalking and constant reminders of this woman, as she has wreaked absolute havoc and devastation on my life. I understand there is probably no solid way to prove that she is stalking me via this technique, unless the police were to seize her computer and look for the software that allows her to do this, but do I have any recourse here? I'm frankly afraid to contact the police in MI for fear of just being laughed off and told its a frivolous issue. Thanks for any advice.

You can keep looking for whatever evidence you can turn up. You can, at any time, go to the police with whatever evidence you have, make a report, and see what (if anything) they can do based upon the information that you provide and their available resources.
