How to Drop Aggravated Domestic Battery Charges
My question involves criminal law for the state of: illinois
My boyfriend and I have never really got into arguments really but the other night we got into it badly. Well long story short i called the police on him for domestic violence and i over reacted because i have anxiety and panic attacks im pregnant and have never been in this type of situation so i just wanted everything to stop but never wanted all this to happen. I am pregnant with his child and have a 2 year old daughter i need him back desperatly. We are about to loose everything. Someone please help

Without more information all anyone can tell you is that if the DA filed the charges, only the DA can drop them.

Nonetheless, the answer remains the same. Only the DA can file charges; only the DA can drop them.

You can speak with a victim's advocate at the prosecutor's office if they have one. Most offices of any size do have one. Some will require you to attend a domestic violence seminar and complete a drop-charge affidavit. Even then, if there are documented injuries and/or independent witnesses, the prosecutor may not choose to drop the charges.
You have to understand that the police are not private mediators of conflicts. Their job is to investigate crimes and make arrests if they find probable cause that a crime has occurred. So when you called them, that is what you were inviting to have happen. It is extremely common for a victim of domestic battery to regret calling the police, and yet the outcome of domestic violence cases that are dropped is sometimes tragic.
I would advise you get outside independent counseling before deciding anything. Financial dependence, fear, intimidation, or even love are not good reasons to continue being at risk of violence.

Why would you want him back if he's willing to abuse you while pregnant with his child? It's not going to get better. You probably did the right thing calling the police - and now you're doing what victims do and having regret and remorse. I've been there.
You can talk to the victim advocate at the court house who can talk to the prosecutor on the case or the judge but it doesn't guarantee everything as they're priority is you and not your boyfriend.
Make sure you think about this because abusers never really change.
