Who Can File a Lawsuit for Malicious Prosecution

I have prevailed in lawsuit that was determined to be without probable cause and with malice. There was another defendant also in this suit. Can we each file our own separate lawsuit against the former plaintiff and each of us seek our own damages? This is california.
