Can You Legally Put Stickers on Car Windows for Improper Parking
I work for dominos pizza in a plaza, and behind us is an apartment complex. There is parking for employees in the plaza behind our stores, and there are employee parking only signs everywhere that say you are subject to be towed under our city law. The people in the apartments behind us constantly take our parking spaces because they don't have enough, but we need these spots for our delivery drivers especially when it gets busy. This morning a douchebag in a giant truck told me he was going to call the cops on my coworkers and I and press charges for vandalism against us if we didn't stop putting towing stickers on his car. We put them halfway on and on the window, is there anything he can actually do to us? If anything it'll leave a little sticky residue on the window but there isnt any other 'damage' being done. I'm just gonna get his car towed next time he parks in our spots but I am curious.

I forgot to mention I'm in California.

People have been prosecuted for vandalism over use of sidewalk chalk. If you don't want to take the risk of a charge, don't put stickers on people's cars. Get your lot properly posted and follow the law for removing improperly parked cars from private property.
