You really need to learn to read slower. I stated that THEY WERE NOT ALLOWED TO DATE at a younger age and actually if I had let them date when they first asked permission, it would have been perfectly legal since he was 17 and she 13 but that is why we DID NOT allow it!! Duh!!
Actually, you just got kicked by the horse. I'm not giving details but they will be allowed to continue the relationship according to rules set forth by child welfare and the police dept that is dealing with the case. Most of what my wife and I have been enforcing all along anyway.
Really dude? You're gonna come at me after I've been one of the few people who stuck to the facts on this thread? I was one of the ones that said they could continue their relationship as long as it was strictly monitored to prevent further potential legal issues.
I said what I said about beating the horse to get people to walk away from this thread and quit attacking you.
When she gets pregnant and boyfriend dumps her, the parents won't be so proud of their decisions.
You really need to learn to read slower. Dating a minor isn't illegal. Sex is illegal with a minor. So even if they dated when she was 13 and he was 17 (gross) and they had sex when she was 13 that would STILL be statutory rape and it's borderline pedophilia. Pedophiles are classified as those attracted to prepubescent children usually under the age of 13.
No one got kicked by the horse. You're just a douche. I would be very surprised if this is actually a parent like others have mentioned.
Wait so you didn't allow them to date when you thought it was legal for them to do so but you waited until he was an adult before they could date? Dude that makes no sense at all. You better hope she doesn't end up a teen mom. Good luck with everything.
My apologies....I guess I was just frustrated and got sick of people cutting me up into little pieces when they didn't know the whole story. Obviously the people from Children and Youth and the police dept see the truth. Like I said, I'm not giving details into the case but it was found out that the accusations against my daughter and her boyfriend were untrue. Im actually thinking of filing a law suit myself against the person that made the accusations for degradation of character.
As I said in my past comments. No state has laws prohibiting anybody from dating somebody of any age. We didn't allow them to date because we had no clue what kind of a boy he was at the time. Now that we have known him for more than 2 years, we know his is NOT a rapist as you label him. The law was broken when they had sex. Trust me when I tell you he did not rape my daughter. (even thought the law and some people on here said he did) She actually pressured him into it!!!! Again, it did not happen under our watch!!! Why can't you get that through your head? It is soooooo obvious that you don't know the dynamics of the relationship they have. Thankfully, the caseworker and the police officer that investigated both have a brain that functions normally. Unlike a few on here. I won't mention any names. You know who you are. LOL...........You can call me a douche if you want. That just shows your level of intelligence. Lastly, I really could care less if you or anybody else believes the fact that I'm a 45 year old man. I know who I am. Who my wife is. Who my daughter and her boyfriend are and I am happy with that fact. I find it humorous that people think they can play Dr. Phil or Opera when they don't know the personality or any background on the people they are criticizing.
I forgot to add that persons between the age of 13 and 17 can legally have sex without being charged according to the laws I read. Not that I agree with it but that is how the law reads in PA
Why hasn't anybody mentioned that a parent that knowingly allows their child to be raped or to allow the child to be in a situation where is it likely to happen can be prosecuted for child neglect?
(a) OFFENSE DEFINED.-- A parent, guardian, or other person supervising the welfare of achild under 18 years of age commits an offense if he knowingly endangers the welfare of thechild by violating a duty of care, protection or support.
The law allowing younger children to legally engage in sex applies to situations where there is less than a specified age difference. It may or may not apply to your situation.
and yes, if she was too young she was raped. People often call it statutory rape because a child younger than the specified age is not legally capable of consenting to sex and I'm sure you will agree that all non-consensual sex is in fact rape.

I did previously.
