Help With California Statutory Rape Laws
    Hi,

I haven't had sex with this girl yet, she's a freshman at the highschool I attend. What will happen if I do? She doesnt turn 15 until november.

    Help! Thank you in advance.

Age of consent in California is 18. You could be charged with statutory rape. Being 4 years older than her would preclude you from any age-adjusted variant to the law, too (ie any provision allowing sexual relations if the difference in age is 2 years or less).

You could be charged with a Felony or a Misdemeanor, but either way you would have to Register as a Sex Offender for the rest of your life. Molesting children has severe consequences.

§ 261.5 Unlawful Sexual Intercourse: Any person 21+ who engages in sexual intercourse with a person under 16 (Felony or misdemeanor); or, any person who engages in sexual intercourse with any person under 18 and where defendant is more than 3 years older than victim (Felony or misdemeanor); or, any person who engages in sexual intercourse with any person under 18 and where defendant is not more than 3 years older than victim. (Misdemeanor).
