Can an Immigrant Adust Status Through a Spouse Who is Receiving SSI
An tourist overstayed woman currently in a relationship with a US Citizen who is currently not working and getting an SSI. What is the likelihood that she will be able to get approve for legal status once they get married. Will she be able to travel to other state as well?

Given just that: ZERO. To bring in someone you have to be able to execute an affidavit of support. An SSI person is not going to be able to do that. If there is someone else (another family member, perhaps) that is willing to commit to keeping the immigrant off public assistance, then it *MIGHT* be possible. However, it's going to take a frank discussion with attorneys versed both in immigration and disability law to get it to happen without screwing up whatever existing benefits are in play.

The immigrant's income will likely adversely affect the citizen's SSI.
