What to Do After Being Banned from a Store for Shoplifting
I recently was caught shoplifting. The worker simply asked for the items I took back and told me to not come back and I will be arrested if I do. He did not take my photo or any other identification other than my name. All he got was my name. Should I contact the company for more information about this like if I need to pay them for even attempting to take their products or to know how long the ban will be in place? Also, will I receive a letter? It was Target.

    Don't call.
    Don't write.
Don't go back to that store.

Be thankful you dodged a bullet.

    Never do it again.

You dodged a bullet, as Jack said above; you don't want to go waving your arms around drawing attention to yourself. Assume you are banned until you are told otherwise.

Also, will I receive a letter?

Sorry, the EL crystal ball is out being recalibrated.

If they didn't take your address, how can they send you a letter?
