How to File Form D-160 After a B1 Visa Denial
I am applying again for a B1 after a refusal.
I am an independent software consultant from Goa, India freelancing for a software company based in California.
The company has invited me for a retreat and a series of meetings this September. In the invitation they have mentioned that they "will be financially responsible for my accommodation and miscellaneous expenses while I am in the US"
Does that mean in the DS-160 I say this company will be paying for my trip?
Im my previous application I had said I myself will be paying for the trip.
I don't have any other financial documents or affidavit from this company only the invitation letters
Re: How to File Form D-160 After a B1 Visa Denial
You have told us that your company will be paying for the trip and, given the possible consequences of making a false statement on the application for a visa, we are going to urge you to be truthful -- but you have created a bit of a conundrum for yourself, given that you are contradicting your prior application.
All the more reason for following the suggestion I made in the other thread, and consulting an immigration lawyer with the full facts of your situation.
