What Will Happen if You're Caught Stealing from Your Employer
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Florida.
I got called into work ( a candy store ) the day loss prevention interviewed me& I did call out of work on a Sunday so I thought they were calling me in to talk to me about that because they said I wasn't able to come in without a docters note, so I didn't work for the week I then texted my manager that " I still don't have docters note and don't know what you want me to do". She then texted me to come in so we could talk about it more. She brought me into a back room with a Loss Prevention Lady where she asked me about how I have negatively impacted the store, at first I thought she was talking about me calling out but then she asked me about items being missing.
I did remember about a month ago my friends made themselves a bag of candy and I didn't charge them for it because who doesn't hook up their friends? & I also stole a 4 dollar kinder egg to try one day. I admited I did these things to the lady & then she gave me a paper to sign that says I only gave my friends the candy & did not include the kinder egg I took. But I did have to right what I did on a paper & right my address and name & date. I did say I would pay for everything & she said I would also have to pay them for the time I wasted with them. They said I will get a follow up phone call about it all. I just don't want to be charged with anything im full time college student and I made a stupid choice and I will never do that ever again. What should I do?

Criminals always whine like that when they get caught.
Start by looking for another job as I doubt that you have this one any more.
You may be given a "civil demand" letter requiring you to compensate the store. If you pay it quickly and quietly that may be the end of it since no police were involved.
Otherwise, all you can do is sweat it out and hope they don't involve the police.
Meantime, I suggest you not talk about to ANYBODY except a lawyer should you choose to hire one.

People who aren't thieves don't "hook up" their friends. People who don't want criminal records don't "hook up" their friends.

We can't promise that you won't be criminally charged, but if your employer has not involved the police then, as time passes, it becomes less and less likely that they will do so. As adjusterjack says, you may get a civil demand asking for compensation for your acts of theft -- the value of the goods and an additional sum to indemnify the store for its losses.

Honest people.
Re: Stealing from Company
I worked at Pizza Hut in college and never "hooked up" my friends...plus the management was awesome and gave us a 40% discount on carryout, 50% on dine in and our family got that discount too.

I also suggest taking a remedial English class. I'm concerned that a college student doesn't know the right words to use.
