If You Transfer Probation Can the Receiving State Give You Unsupervised Probation
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Indiana. State of origin of probation Florida.

Under the Interstate Compact, can the receiving state declare probation to be unsupervised?

I don't know about your specific states, but I went from medium-level supervision in Michigan to case-bank probation (basically unsupervised probation, just mail-in) in Oregon after less than a month after an interstate compact transfer. They had to conduct an interview that produced a low enough risk 'score' to do this, however.

Depends on the state. My ex was on an interstate and he still had to report into his probation officers. Although he had some very lax POs and had his case transferred between counties twice. Both POs really didn't ever check on him. He bs'ed them constantly and somehow managed to pass the few random UAs they gave him. I even told the first PO when I kicked him out and filed for divorce he had been using. They didn't UA him.

Depends on the state most likely.
