What Are Good Reasons For Emancipation
Since my last topic was just filled with useless spam instead of any answers to my question, I decided to be a bit more straight forward.

What are good reasons to become emancipated in the state of CA? A list of reasons would be good as well as reasons with parental consent and reasons without.

Thank you, please keep the last topic out of this topic, I posted a new thread for a reason.

As you were told, you can read about California emancipation here.
    Quote:

Quoting How do I get emancipated?
There are 3 ways to get emancipated:

    1. Get married. You need permission from your parents and the court.

    2. Join the armed forces. You need permission from your parents, and the armed forces must accept you.

    3. Get a declaration of emancipation from a judge. To get a declaration of emancipation, you have to prove ALL of these things:
    • You are at least 14 years old.
    • You don't want to live with your parents. Your parents don't mind if you move out.
    • You can handle your own money.
    • You have a legal way to make money.
    • Emancipation would be good for you.

No, what I was told was that I could be facing rape charges and that I was being selfish for not calling in CPS when her group-home already notified them.

Which, as you can see, had nothing to do with my topic.

But thanks for the quote, it seems that in the time-frame I recommended she will be able to fulfill the requirements (yes, even parental consent if I stay out of the picture and have no contact with her for 2 years, which I am willing to do because I am her friend first and fore-most).. CA laws are tricky >.<!!

You were given all your options and legal answer just because you didnt care for them doesnt make them incorrect! Besides your question here is about emancipation! You requested other issue be left out yet you brought it up

Yes because the previous post was brought up by Aaron, as if I could take anything from you without an unbiased eye.

Seriously, Aaron, I specifically said I read the link panther provided. He insulted me and didn't answer my question in the previous thread and instead become a judge no one asked him to be. I didn't bring anything up. I will obviously have to look for a different forum to actually discuss these matters instead of being constantly judged when I specifically asked not to be.

As far as I'm concerned, if you aren't going to answer my question and offering anything productive to my topic then you have no business replying.

I'm sorry, but I told you my scenario, and that I didn't break the law in anyway and that I have done all I could for someone who isn't my child and is just my friend. What more needs to be said?

Thank you for making me realize that if I wish to carry out conversation's about topics and actually get answers to them instead of judgements then I will have to go somewhere else. I didn't know I was going to be breaking the little Kool Kidz Klub with my posts.

Panther, lets be fair, in almost all of your previous posts you will cry rape before anything is said and done. I specifically told you the conditions of our relationship and the status which was that we are no longer going out, you chose to ignore it and keep going like the sheep off the cliff. You are not fit to offer advice and I specifically said in my last topic to not reply to my threads, which you also failed to do.

I will be consulting an attorney, I should've known better then to trust people like panther who don't even know how the law works yet use it to back up their arguements.

I gave you a link for your answers and provided answer for other issues. If you bruised ego (after I called you out) would allow you to see that then there would be no further discussion. Even Aaron (not a panther supporter) admitted link gave you the info you requested

I'm really not interested seeing this argument renewed. You have received the information you wanted, now in two separate threads. Do you have any follow-up questions?
