Can a Minor Go Out When Instructed by a Parent to Be at Home
I am a 17 year old boy and I want to leave the house for a little while but my mother threatens to call the cops on me if I'm not home by a certain time. As long as I'm not out past curfew can I leave and not be taken home by the cops. p.s. the time she wanted me home by is not past curfew.

No. You're a minor. You do what your mom says until you're an adult. Then you can do what you want. Suck it up buttercup.

You're not a free agent. When you ARE a free agent a refusal to abide with house rules can result in an expulsion from said house.

You might need to be more concerned about what your mother will do to you than what the police will do to you. By the way, don't think your mother won't know or find out that you went out when you were told not to.
Life is full of rules you don't want to follow. Age doesn't matter. The earlier you learn how to play by the rules, the better off you will be in life.
