Caught Shoplifting but Unable to Pay Restitution

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Illinois. So i got caught stealing 72$ worth of items at kohls and im 17. I admitted to the theft and they have video of it and i signed some stuff saying i did it. I got a civil demand from them for 172$ and i dont have the money to pay it and i won't have the money to pay it when i have court. What do i do??

So, you're guilty, your going to be charged, you'll be convicted and have a misdemeanor on your record. If you don't come up with some money to pay the civil demand you will, or your parent will, end up in collections. I hope you've told them about this because they'll find out one way or another, especially since you're going to court.
