my ex and i split up in 1997 our daughter moved in with my mother and to this day is still living with my mother. My ex is claiming she has our daughter and filed for child support .she was granted support and is having my wages garnished. my mother and i have called family services and told them that my ex has never had custody of our daughter, we have documentation to prove this, but family services says they cant do anything about it because they are only there to enforce child support and not to determine who has the child. They told us the only thing we can do is hire an attorney. Can anyone give me advise on this situation?
