Help With A Criminal Record in Ohio

I have a petty theft charge for shoplifting in 2004 and a DUI in 2006, both in Ohio. Im just about finished with college and Im worried i wont be able to obtain a job in my field despite my degree. I went through a very rough period of my life but have managed to turn it around completely. To think that i have wasted 5 years of education because of stupid mistakes is too much to bear. i am pleading, is there anyone who knows what i can possibly do? do i even have any options??

i checked your link. thank you. i noticed it said that first time offenders are eligible for expungement. does this mean only first time offenders are eligible? i know the dui can never come off...i was just wondering if the shoplifting can come off. i am past the mandatory waiting periods for both of these (dui and shoplifting). im sorry for the inconvenience but i just have a hard time fully understanding these laws.

i to have 2 felony convictions in ohio and have been tying for 3 years now to get some help with them. your absoultly right. no one gives a crap. i have been begging with people(lawyers,probation officers, and now i'm going to start working on the judge) for years. i am in my 50's and can not get a job. maybe we can call the gov. think that might help. if he can't than no one ever will. if you have received any info please share it. thanks meror1.

also to i forgot to mention as of this may my convictions will be 20 years old. now that everyones info is on the internet i can't run and hide anymore. s----.it's not fair. the courts should have never been permitted to list criminal cases on the web. very unfair and i feel it's invasion of my rights. i do still live in i think its called america. they say land of oppertunity but i guess it just depends who you are. hell illegal immagrents have more rights than i have here. any way i paid an attorney good money a year ago and he hasn't done squat except rob me.he said he would fiile a pardon for me last spring. well i'm still waiting for him to file.
