Minors Arrested for No Reason

A few nights ago me and a few of my friends were walking around my neighborhood. We were just walking, and cops drove up and arrested us, four of us in all. I forgot what he said we were charged with, but they took us to jail and we had to call our parents to come pick us up. My court date is Wednesday and I've been told that I will recieve community service, but not sure how much. I would like to know how community service works. Do they give you specific times and places? Also, Spring Break is coming up, and I have a trip to Florida planned. Would they still allow me to go, or would I have to stay and do community service?
Another thing. Do they say that I will have to have my community service done by a certain date? If anyone will answer these questions for me, I'd be most appreciative.
(BTW, I live in Kentucky.)
