Re: Shoplifting at Robinsons May, and Civil Demand Letter
does anybody know how long it usuallly takes for them to send the letters. So if criminal charges are seperate then how do you find out if they are going to post that on your record on not. If they say pay this much nothing gets resolved? How do you go about finding out if it went on your record or not?

Re: Shoplifting at Robinsons May, and Civil Demand Letter
If you are charged, depending upon your age, the laws of your state, and your county's practices and policies, you may be able to qualify for a diversion program or deferred sentence which would allow you to avoid a criminal conviction.

It can be days, weeks, or months before a civil demand letter is sent.

Unless the DA feels case is useless a warrant for your arrest will be issued and you should get a letter to surrender
