How is a Class Action Organized
My question involves a consumer law issue in the State of: NY

I own a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, which has an EXTENSIVE history of system failures and flaws. When one of these issues pop up, I turn to the Internet for answers.

Every time I've searched for answers related to one of these flaws and failures, there have been an abundance of people with the same issue(s) spanning across a time span of many years, and in one case, 11 years! I feel 11 years is a long time for a car manufacturer to leave design issues unaddressed.

I'm researching current lemon laws to see if I can pursue recovery. Then it occurred to me:

With so many people having the same problems over a period of time (spanning a decade in some instances), how can I organize my fellow owners in an effort to hold Daimeler Chrysler accountable for these flaws and failures? Of course, these issues span the entire US and not just NY.

    Thank you in advance.

You did not indicate what the design flaws are or that the exact same problem is present in all the situations that you saw on the internet. Those details matter. As for how to do a class action lawsuit, you must have an attorney represent the class in such a lawsuit since you cannot represent others if you yourself are not an attorney. Class actions are not easy cases to set up; the attorney handling it must be able to convince the court the claim qualifies for certification to proceed as a class action. One of the important factors in that is that the design problem and the damages for each claimant must be the same for it to qualify as a class action. Try looking for lawyers in NY who do consumer class action lawsuits and see if any of them might be interested.
