What Happens if a Defendant Doesn't Complete Domestic Abuse Classes
What will happen to a defendant in Massachusetts who is sentenced to take domestic abuse classes after a domestic violence conviction, but is nearing the end of his probation without having even started the classes?

Failure to complete the terms of your probation can result in probation violation proceedings and possible jail time.

The defendant should either enroll and try to complete the classes on time, or explain the circumstances to his probation officer to see if he can make arrangements (such as the extension of probation) that will allow him to complete his sentence.
