Can You Drive on a Suspended License if the DMV Says Your License is Valid
My question involves a driver's license issued by the State of: Washington.
Last year i was in a fender bender with no insurance in Oregon. Failure to provide that gave me a loss of the privilege to drive in Oregon. Now I have been pulled over 5 times in the past year (my suspension will be up in June) all in Washington. Which I had thought was legal for me to drive in. WEll I got pulled over by a stater today in Washington who told me it was illegal for me to drive in Washington now I have a 3rd degree DWLS offense. I called DMV and they said my license is valid. As does DOL. Is it possible that I can have my driving privilege taken away but my license still valid? How can I get this taken care of with no jail time?

Your driving privilege may be suspended or revoked in one state while your actual license is valid in your home state and other states.
I don't know what the trooper was looking at that was different then what the DMV has. You should go to the DMV in person and speak to someone, preferably a supervisor and explain the situation and see if they have an answer.
You have to deal with your court appearance as well. It might be wise to consult with an attorney in your area - he or she may also be able to provide some answers as to what's going on.
