Long Delay in an Interview After Applying for Citizenship
A permanent resident applied for U.S. citizenship last year, and did his fingerprinting less than a month later in Dallas, Texas. It's now seven months later, and no interview has been scheduled. Is there a problem with the petition for naturalization?
Re: Long Delay in an Interview After Applying for Citizenship
The Dallas field office is presently processing applications from nine months ago -- so the issue is almost certainly their backlog. There is no reason to be concerned about a seven month delay.
