What Will Happen to Probation if You Get a Driver's License in Another State
My question involves criminal law for the state of: New York
I'm about to be sentenced to probation and I wanted to know what would happen if I switch my Drivers License BEFORE I get on probation, to another state? Would they find out? Would I get in trouble? The reason is because my license is about to be suspended after a hearing for a traffic ticket I received and i wanted to switch my license to another state so I could still drive but probably just not in New York. Do they see that? I still am going to be living in New York.

If you are moving to another state, you should get permission from your probation officer. If they say "no", you can wait until you are off of probation or manage to get permission. If you do something absolutely stupid, like pretending to move to another state and lying on your driver's application in that other state, you are likely to create a bigger nightmare for yourself.

Quite frankly, you're an idiot.
If your license is suspended then you will not be able to get a license in another state unless you commit another crime of making a false official statement.
If you are suspended in NY then even if you have an out-of-state license you will be caught and arrested the next time you get stopped in NY because guess what? Your driving PRIVILEGE will still be suspended in NY, regardless of whether you have a license from NY or Alaska.
Finally, it is illegal for a NY resident to hold a license from another state.
You just can't wait to go to jail/prison, can you?

How are you going to get a license in another state that you don't reside in? Is your probation in New York? Does it state you can't leave the state while you're on probation?
Why would you get a license that you can't even use? So you want a license but you're not going to drive in NY? Are you high right now?
How do you think you'll get a license in another state if you have a suspended license now?
