Can You be Charged With Probation Violation if the Officer is Late for an Appointment
My question involves criminal law for the state of: N.C. The probation officer says she will be at my house between 4 & 5 p.m. She shows up at 8 p.m. Tells me if the person on probation is not here tomorrow her probation will be declined. The person on probation was here and waited and the probation Officer never showed up til 8 p.m so why should the person be declined probation since she was not the one late?

Why can't the person be there as required tomorrow?

The probation officer did not hold her absence against her, but has indicated that it should not happen again. Now she knows that she needs to wait until her probation officer arrives, no matter what, and what her consequences will be if she foolishly disregards the instruction.
