Fiancee Working On Student Visa but Wants a Green Card
I have a complex situation that I need help/advice on. I'm a natural born US citizien and the woman that I would like to marry is here in the states on her 3rd stint. The first time she was here was on a student visa. She was here last year on a tourist visa. She's here again on a tourist visa. We've been dating for about 4 months and I want to marry her before her visa expires.
Here's where the story gets a little complex. She's currently working. She got an SSN from the time she was first here on a student visa. Will this cause major problems? I need some real advice on what to do. Thanks.
Tourist Working In Violation of Visa
If she is here on a tourist visa, and is working under her Social Security number, she is creating a paper trail of her illegal employment. And if the pieces are put together, yes, that could result in immigration problems for her. She would be well-advised to consult an immigration lawyer about her situation, to determine her best course of action.
