My question involves criminal law for the state of: California.
So I had an idea that I'm not sure how it would turn out. Let's say that there was a stolen car that I was in possession of. If I said I didn't know it was stolen, I could tell them I bought it from person A. I also say that I buy cars and sell them for profit, and so that's what I was going to do with this car. I also tell them that I bought the car previously and sold it a few times because I saw it listed as lower prices than I sold it. Anyways, person A said the same as me and that he bought the car from person B. Person B says the exact same and says he bought it from me. I repeat what I told them before. We can all agree that we sold the cars between each other but we aren't sure who stole the car first and how many times we bought and sold it. Is there enough to convinct me since I am in possession of the car or is it impossible to figure out who stole the car. Do we all get in trouble or none of us?
