A quick way to check your child support payments is to use an online child support calculator. I suggest using the official calculators -- California's is here.
The calculators are at times misleading, but generally will let you know if your payment is in the right ballpark.
Beyond that, consult a lawyer or, if you have reason to believe there has been a material change in your ex's finances that could reduce your support obligation, consider seeking a review with the child support agency or court.
