Can an Employer Tell an Employee Where to Park
An employee of a store prefers to park in the street in front of the store, but has been told by her employer that she must park in the employee parking lot. Can an employer require that an employee park in a specific location, rather than in a legal, public location?
Re: Can an Employer Tell an Employee Where to Park
Not only can the employer require that the employee park in the parking lot, the employer can fire the employee for failing to follow the instruction.
In retail, odds are the employer wants as many spaces as possible that are near the storefront to be open and available for prospective customers.
