Will You Get Arrested if Somebody Uses Your Address for a Fraudulent Order
The police visited a Florida resident and indicated that a mail order purchase had been made, to be delivered to her address, and that the purchase was made through credit card fraud. The homeowner indicated that she knew nothing about the purchase, and that no package had arrived at her home. She was told by the police that she should contact them when the package arrives and arrange to give it to the investigating officer. Should she be worried about being criminally charged?

If in fact she had nothing to do with the fraudulent charge, probably not. At this time, the police do not appear to be treating her as a suspect. If she was involved, or gets the feeling that she is a suspect, she should consult a criminal defense lawyer.
