Can You Get Mileage Reimbursement After You Resign from Your Employer
My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: Michigan
I am paid $25 per hour and it is common knowledge that mileage is reimbursed and passed on to the employee when it is paid to the company. Now that I am no longer with the organization, do they still owe me for miles traveled?

what does that even mean; its common knowledge...
was the reimbursement part of your negotiated wage or not?
Re: If Mileage Reimbursement is Used As Hiring "Bait" Can It Be Enforced
Does "it is common knowledge" mean that you received mileage reimbursements while working for the company, or does it mean that you assumed you would get a mileage reimbursement even though none was either promised by or paid by your former employer?
Michigan does not require mileage reimbursement, so if it was never promised and never paid it won't be forthcoming. If you do not receive reimbursement, you may take a tax deduction for your mileage.

In Michigan, and in 47 other states, whether or not mileage is reimbursed is a matter between the employer and the employee.
