Can You Reclaim Child Support Over an Adult Child's Behavior
A man in North Carolina has a grown son who recently told him, "You're not my real father", and indicated that he wanted nothing more to do with his father. Can the man recover the child support that he paid to the mother in past years, based upon the adult child's behavior and estrangement?

Not a chance. He can try to mend his relationship with his son, but neither his present conflict nor any past resentments held by the child for the father's real or perceived failures during his childhood have any relevance to past child support.
