Civil Demand Paid in Full
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Nevada
Today I made my last civil demand payment to Macy's and my question is what happens next?
I'd also like to say I know there has been debate whether of not to pay your civil demand. For me when I was apprehended at Macy's I immediately cooperated and took for responsiblity for my actions, signed a written admission statement and civil demand agreement. the lady LP chose not to call the police and not to have me prosecuted which I am very greatful for, so whether I had to pay the civil demand or not I felt obligated to make restitution especially since I was giving a chance. I don't know if I had been prosecuted if I would have had the money to pay both my criminal penalties and my civil demand. I know a lot of LP on here get tired of people posting on here acting like they are the victims because they get caught shoplifting. With that being said I just wanted to say there are people out there that truly make the poor decision to shoplift and are willing to except responsiblity for their actions. And I wanted to say thanks to the LP agent who gave me a chance to make civil restitution instead having me hauled away to jail. Yes I would have loved to spend that $275 civil demand money elsewhere, but it feels good having it paid in full. Shoplifting really is a struggle for some people and i hope I don't fall into the temptation again and if I do I'm sure I won't be so lucky next time. Thanks

Probably nothing. That should be the end of it.
