If your going to do that I would hire an Attorney and have him make that call
so there is no centralized number, like a police station number where I can call to find out if there are any charges in my name? I don't want to hire a lawyer right away, since I might be stressing over nothing.
and what are the chances that a cop might come over to my place. since the address in my ID is old. I live with the friend whose car I came in.
Your joking right? Do you realize how silly that sounds? If you dont want to hire a Lawyer then dont its your choice. Look i have been nice (not normal for me ask anyone) Your an admitted theif! Now you want advice on how to avoid prosecution! Your the reason the rest of us pay higher prices! If your that worried make the call or call the store I dont really care! I gave you too much of my time already. I am not your friend! Honestly I hope they do knock on your door but tiem will tell. By the way did it cross your mind that there are member sof this site who are Police, LP and employees of very store you stole from!? Your post alone tells them all they need to know and its in print! You have several choices make the call, have an Attorney make the call or just wait! Whatever you do is up to you none of us here can answer that for you in fact many of us would have you turn yourself in and return stolen item to spare us from paying for your greed!
Hey I was just asking for help. you don't have to be rude. Thanks for all the info.
Help with how to get out of a felony theft! :wallbang: Used this as a warnning and regardless of what happens steal no more!
I am sure I will not. I am quite shaken. I just need to figure out what to do and get out of this mess.
Exactly what I was talking about! Your worried about your mess but nothing else! Whatg about me who pays higher prices because of you? What about the store employee whose hours are reduced because store suffered losses from slefish thiefs like you? What about the single Mom who is laid off so store can recoup monies lost from selfish thieves like you!? What about the extra money store must spend to prevent theives like you from stealing!? The list goes on! Dont expect me or many at all to pity your problem you brought it on yourself. If you cant do the time dont so the crime! Dont expect pity from us we suffer much more than you. Talk to the person just listed see how they feel about you and your problem! I was nice I gave you answers but your relentless attempts to walk away from this were just too much!
I don't know if there's much you can do without incriminating yourself. What are you gonna do, call the police station and ask if there are any charges against you? What if they say "yes" and that the police are on their way? Maybe they'll say no, but I don't think that'll ease your anxiety much, and you'll probably call back to ask again. That certainly makes it apparent that you'd done something wrong.
If they're gonna pursue the case they're gonna pursue it. There's really nothing you can do except wait... Or if you're bold, walk into the Target and see what happens. Let them getchu and get it over with.
Update us on what happens.
