Scammed Into Paying Fees for a Fake Job
I found this ad on newspaper saying that jobs for ATM guards are provided. After I visited their office, they asked me for Rs. 2200/- for the uniform and miscellaneous charges, which I paid.

After that I was told that my details will be checked in the police station for any criminal background record. The report came out to be positive.

Now they are asking me to join training for 2 months where I will be paid a stipend of Rs 8000 - 9000. And after the training period is over and I am finally recruited, my salary will be Rs.11000 - 13000.

They are also asking me to open an insurance policy before I join the training.

    What should I do?

    Re: Job Scam
This site discusses law in the United States. The currency symbol Rs is used to denote the rupee currency, used in India and several other Asian nations. So it appears your situation is taking place somewhere other than the United States and thus we cannot provide you any useful information here. Try finding a site that focuses on law in your country or consult a lawyer or other legal advisor in your country.

This website is for US law only. We are not able to speak to what appears to be a legal situation in India.
