How to Get Custody Back After Getting Out of Jail
A woman was sentenced to jail, and left her children with their uncle during her fourteen days of incarceration. The father found out that she had been sentenced to jail, picked up the children, and took them to his home in South Carolina. The mother is now out of jail, but under the terms of her probation she's not allowed to see the children. How can she get the children returned to Florida? She was never married to the father and there is no visitation order.
Re: How to Get Custody Back After Getting Out of Jail
The mother needs to file a custody case, and get a custody and visitation order put into effect. Given the facts, she really does need to get help from a custody lawyer -- dad can seek custody, and mom's problems with the law and incarceration could create obstacles for her in a custody case.
