Automated Enforcement Traffic Violation, VC 21453c
My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: california. I got video traffic ticket, making a right turn on red. I know it's my fault. When I received the citation, my photo indicate me but the name states my wife name on it. My question is, is it still possible to fight this citation or should my wife appear at the clerk that is is not her on the picture and at the time of the violation? Do you think the court will dismiss the case since it's not her on the picture? Will the court ask who is in the picture and charge me instead?

You say that you received the ticket. Do you mean that your wife received it? If it's not in your name, it should have been addressed to her.
If the ticket is in your wife's name, she can dispute the ticket and try to avoid identifying you -- but nobody here is going to be able to promise you that the ticket won't end up simply being reissued under your name. If your wife goes to a in-person hearing, she can expect to be asked who appears in the photograph / video.

This could be a ticket you can ignore - if it is from a city, or the sheriff, in LA County. The ability to ignore is because the LA County court has a policy that if they don't hear from you after you've been mailed a camera ticket, they will not report you to the DMV. Hard to believe? Search red light camera no consequence and read the LA Times and NBC articles.
