Can You be Sent to Jail for Leaving the State When Charges are Pending
A driver was charge with driving on a suspended license in Illinois. She has been told that if she leaves the state before the DWLS case is over she can go to jail. Is that correct?

If a condition of her release on bond is that she is not to leave the state, then she will either need court permission to leave the state or she could potentially be remanded to jail for violating her bond.
