Can an Eighteen-Year Old Parent Take Her Child When She Moves
An eighteen-year-old mother is still living at home. Her parents say that they'll seek custody of her child if she takes her child when she moves out. Can that happen?
Re: Can an Eighteen-Year Old Parent Take Her Child When She Moves
As an adult, she is free to move out at any time she chooses and to take her child with her. As long as she has a safe and appropriate home for the child, her parents are not likely to succeed in a guardianship petition.
